Dunes West Swordfish Swim Team
The Dunes West Swordfish Swim Team came to me with a small PNG image of a previous logo in need of “larger file size”. After a quick chat, this project turned into a full rebrand.
Located in South Carolina, swimmers up to eighteen compete against rival teams at swim meets in the surrounding area. The team wanted a logo that kept a similar color scheme with updated imagery that felt more competitive and engaging.
Type
The previous type lacked the feeling of speed. Bringing in a Geometric Sans Serif font with a slant brings a feeling of motion to the logo in the direction the swordfish is swimming.
Imagery
Increasing the size of Swordfish allowed for a more expressive and detailed logo. The updated imagery brings a stronger sense of competitiveness and agility while keeping a similar flat style logo.
Full Logo & Alternate
Along with the full logo, a logotype was created to be used along side the main logo in specific use cases.
